Summary: This class is an exploration of biblical teaching related to work and vocation. Whether at home with children, in the classroom, in the office, retired, or anywhere in between, God made us to work. But sin has corrupted all aspects of this world, including both us and our work. As a result, we struggle with frustration, inefficiency, meaninglessness, and conflict in our work. This class will explore how the Bible's teaching both reshapes our perspective on the work God has given us and empowers us to work for God and others. I hope some of you consider joining us for this study.

Biblical Studies Class - An Overview of The Old Testament

Summary: Every Christian who wants to understand their Bible should do an overview of its contents. It's important to look at whole Bible books and learn things like the author, the date it was written, its historical background, what kind of literature it is, how it's structured, its major themes, and how it contributes to the Bible's storyline. Getting acquainted with the Bible at this 'big picture' level will help you understand individual passages much better. In this class we will begin doing an overview of the OT. It will take two trimesters to complete. In this first trimester we will cover 'Genesis' through 'Song of Solomon.' I hope some of you consider attending this class.
